Licensed Acupuncturist

Kevin Xiao has 18 years of clinical acupuncture experience. He specializes in using acupuncture to address neurological conditions, musculoskeletal disorders, and a wide range of internal medicine concerns.

Through years of clinical practice, Kevin Xiao has observed that pain is often associated with poor posture and muscular imbalance. Postural patterns such as leg-length asymmetry, uneven shoulders, and scoliosis may cause certain muscles to experience abnormal loading, resulting in chronic tension, spasms, and the development of trigger points.

Kevin Xiao evaluates each patient’s posture and incorporates the Traditional Chinese Medicine principles of yin-yang and the Five Elements to identify involved muscles. By releasing tight or spasmodic muscles through targeted needling, he aims to provide prompt pain relief and improve movement patterns.

He also has experience supporting patients with postural concerns such as scoliosis, uneven shoulders, leg-length asymmetry, rounded shoulders, kyphotic posture, posterior pelvic tilt, dorsocervical fat pad (“dowager’s hump”), and axillary fullness. Treatment may also incorporate acupuncture-point needling to help support internal balance and overall well-being.
